Any yoga that involves movement is Hatha yoga. Hat/Ha – as in a blending of the Sun/Moon energies within us, the East Indian description of the same energies described as Yin & Yang in the Chinese system.
It’s all about balance between the pairs of opposites within us. Right/left, top/bottom, front/back, inhale/exhale, strength/flexibility, effort/ease…Health is a state of balance. Illness, chaos, or pain is a sign of imbalance, a signal to come back into balance. Balance is on-going and ever changing, a continuous process. If we are attuned and aware, we are able to move, shift, and adjust to meet new challenges that help us to learn, to change, and to grow.
