Wabi-Sabi

Square

Wabi-sabi is a world view centered on the idea that beauty comes from the imperfections, the incompleteness, the impermanence, like the cracks in this sidewalk. Without the cracks, there would be no beauty.

It reminds me of a line from a classic novel I read years ago, “He had nothing a friend could laugh at and love him for.”
Isn’t it nice that our imperfections make us more beautiful and more lovable?
