One muscle motion that yoga does not include is the chin-up or pull-up. The difference between the two is in the grip; a pull-up uses an overhand grip with palms facing out and hands placed slightly wider than shoulder width, and a chin-up uses an underhand grip with the palms facing in and hands placed at shoulder-width. Many of us run, walk, or cycle to compliment our yoga practice, our upper body might appreciate a chin-up bar set into the door to our closet for handy access. As with any new thing, work up to it gradually to avoid straining muscles. My 5-year-old grand daughter can do a chin-up, can you?
